My most common lip product in my stash would have to be a tinted lip balm. I tend to have dry lips and that fact combined with having an active toddler who likes getting in my face {literally} causes me to stay away from lipsticks on a regular basis.
I was more than happy to try out another tinted lip balm – the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm. I got to try out the Tinted Lip Balm in Rose and as a seasoned Burt’s Bees fan, I have to say I had rather high expectations.
Formula-wise, I didn’t really detect any difference from the original Burt’s Bees lip balm. They are 100% natural and very hydrating.
The Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm come in 9 shades – with Petunia, Sweet Violet, Blush Orchird and Caramel Daisy being the recent releases. I’m not sure if it’s the same for all but the one I tried has a beautiful sweet Rose scent which I do like. The colour is also beautiful. I would describe it as a very pretty blush red.
This lip balm provides a sheer tint that is… really quite sheer. I did find that I couldn’t really build up the intensity of the colour. Having said that though, I really enjoy the formula of this one. It feels nourishing yet very lightweight, in the sense that I don’t actually feel like I have a layer on my lips as with many other lip products. I guess it would be great for a quick dash of colour for a short trip down to the shops; just not for a full day out unless reapplying regularly is not a problem. The colour is very pretty in my opinion so… decisions, decisions.
I do wonder if the longevity of the colour has to do with the red since red is stronger colour and perhaps, more unforgiving? Given that I’m a huge Burt’s Bees fan, I think I’ll still give a different shade a go!
Have you tried the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms?
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm retails for $14.95.
*I received this product for review. My opinions are 100% honest and mine.
No I have not tried this. I don’t use lip balm much, but I like that it provides a faint tint. Thank you for the review. I like Burt’s Bee a lot and will consider this product.

I have this exact lip balm but I haven’t whipped it out for every day use yet as I have a million other lip balms to use first! Great to hear that its formula is as good as their original balms 🙂
i love the burts bee brand too but have found that they lip products seem to be hit or miss. after trying out a few of their tinted balms/glosses i’ve concluded that their plain lip balms/chapsticks are what they do best. i tend to go for other brands when it comes to tinted lip products 🙂

I have only tried this tinted lip balm so I think I am still open to trying the other shades in the range (though I’m really not too fussed, too many tinted lip balms anyway!). Like you, I will probably stick mainly to their plain lip balms which are awesome 🙂
I love burts bees lip balms, I haven’t tried the tinted ones though x

Hmmm…I have never tried this and I am not fond of lip balms but I am very curious about this. I have heard so much about this which made me decided to try it out. I will check on it this weekend.
