ghd V Pink Diamond Styler | Supporting Breast Cancer Charities…

I recently got the opportunity to try out the ghd V Pink Diamond Styler. The ghd V Pink Diamond Styler isn’t any ordinary styler – in the past 10 years, in partnership with breast cancer charities, more than 7 million dollars has been raised for breast cancer charities worldwide through the sales of pink stylers.

There is no denying how gorgeous this V Pink Diamond Styler is. The pink metallic finish with the glossy black (with just a hint of sparkle) plates is such a stunning combi – let’s just say I definitely love it more than my boring black one. It also comes with a keepsake box and a matching pink ghd paddle brush (Just look at the gorgeous details!).

What I also like about this one (compared to my black drugstore one) is the contoured edges of the plates which is supposed to help when creating curls/waves. Also, it heats up really, really fast in a matter of a few mere seconds. Impressive.

What I love even more is that for every ghd V Pink Diamond set sold, $20 will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (in Australia) or the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (in NZ).

Other special features include:
- Extra long 2.7m swivel cord (Something so simple but definitely not to be overlooked!)
- Automatic sleep mode after 30 mins without use
- Universal voltage for usage anywhere in the world
- Comes with 2 year manufacturer’s guarantee

As you might know, I’m not the most creative person when it comes to my hair. My hair is all up, all down or half. As my hair is very fine and a little frizzy with layers, I find it so difficult to even do a proper bun. The only time I ever have my hair up in a messy, unsightly bun is when I’m mopping the floor at home (not the best mental image!). Luckily, I got to get some ideas/inspiration from this ghd article!

After towel drying my hair, I sprayed on some Toni & Guy Volume Plumping Mousse and Sebastian Professional Trilliant Heat Protectant Spray* {which smells & works amazing! It’s my husband and my fave hair styling brand ever since we tried it last year}. I then sprayed the Lucido-L Hair Arranging Lotion over the final look.

I wanted a more tousled, wavy look and this is what I got!

It was really easy to do, especially for someone not well versed in hair styling. I actually did think this ghd one made my hair look more glossy and I definitely prefer this look to my boring, straight hair. I know curled hair makes me look a bit older but I actually don’t mind!

Overall, I am impressed with this styler and I definitely think it’s great to raise awareness about breast cancer as well as to support breast cancer charities. As mentioned on the Breakthrough Breast Cancer website, there are “steps all women can take to reduce their risk of developing breast cancer”. Some of their priorities are to raise awareness, promote early detection and find new treatments. I think it is definitely a worthy cause to support.

Here’s the make up I wore, if you’re interested.

I really must try a GHD soon, I’m curious to see how it compares with the Corioliss and MUK straighteners I have!

Great review, Mandy, and you look absolutely beautiful! Your hair is perfect and so is your makeup. :)

Wow you look great Mandy! I love the look of this ghd but I’ve had my ghd for over five years and it’s still as good as the day I got it so I can’t justify a new one at the moment. The brush is beautiful too though so it’s very tempting.
