Teenagers celebrate me? HA! (I’ve temporarily failed there.)
Mother’s Day is with Grandma… Presents, laughs and good fare.

I am a mum of three beautiful young daughters, so my Mother’s Day usually begins with them showering me with their homemade gifts, usually crafts and drawings and cards, all as precious as the next!
Then we go to my mums for lunch, and mother-in-laws for dinner. Its a beautiful day, and I really love it!

I find I have to do a bit of planning to ensure I have a terrific Mother’s Day…lots of hints. My husband didn’t grow up with much hoopla surrounding any holidays so he is still in training. Pretty sure that the kids went with the hubby to get the OXO canisters I wanted today all ready for next week. He is great at doing special breakfasts now too.

We celebrate Mothers Day by starting the day with the Mothers Day Classic to raise money for Breast Cancer. This has be become a family tradition with all grandchildren participating too. We then share a yummy lunch together. Next year it will be even more special with my birthday falling on Mothers Day (the first time since I became a mother).

I don’t let my mum do any chores that day! My brother and I cook and spoil her with our “delicious” food and then shower her with “presents”!
