Giveaway: MU Australia // Library of Flowers Field Kit

(Last Updated On: August 7, 2018)

I was recently introduced to MU Australia, a home grown company that specialises in niche bath, body and home fragrance products. The products they carry all boast gorgeous timeless, classical and contemporary designs and just browsing through their website will no doubt, leave you spoilt for choice. I was sent the Library of Flowers Field Kit to gain a little insight into this new brand.

The Library of Flowers brand was started by designer Margot Elena and is a small batch perfumery that revolves around creating craft scents inspired by nature. You won’t believe how beautifully fragrant the package that arrived was.

The Library of Flowers Field Kit that I chose was the Willow and Water – an exquisite bath collection consisting of a body scrub, shower gel, fine perfumed soap, handcreme and a lip nectar.

I just absolutely adore the beautiful whimsical garden motifs all around.

I especially loved the Shower Gel which is, as they call it, “pure perfumed bliss”. It uses Shea Butter, Bee Balm and Jojoba Oil to hydrate, restore and replenish dry skin while invigorating your senses with notes of cut greens, flowering lotus and watercress. For a little bath time pamper session, I love using this shower gel together with the Body Scrub. The body scrub has a more runny texture which applies really well over damp skin. The exfoliating beads are medium coarse and are gentle enough while exfoliating. Definitely one of the more luxurious body scrubs I have tried.

The Handcreme is heavenly. Creamy, easily absorbs, non-greasy, hydrates well and smells absolutely divine. It uses Coco Butter and Shea Butter for some heavy duty conditioning as well as Macadamia Nut and Avocado Oil for soothing. This handcreme is a definite hit with me (having tried so many different ones) and definitely ranks highly in my books.

I’m not a big user of soap (it’s one of those things I pass on to my husband with much disinterest) but this fine perfumed soap definitely won me over. Put it this way, I guarded it zealously from my husband! Its ultra-rich Coco Butter base makes it super moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling clean without the dry, stripped feeling other soaps give. The lip nectar is enriched with honey and uses Jojoba Oil to nourish and hydrate the lips. It smells beautifully of honey and gives a very slight sheen without being overly greasy.

Overall, this little field kit was a perfect introduction to the brand. With the Christmas season coming up, I think it makes a perfect gift too.
